HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Randolph women's tennis team played its first match of Spring Break on Wednesday as it faced Pfeiffer. The Falcons defeated the WildCats 7-2.
The WildCats won one match in doubles play. Sabrina Dickerson (Brookneal, Va.) and Lena Kersten (Bonn, Germany/Otto Kuhne Schule) defeated the duo of Megan Rekieta and Alison Sloop 8-4.
Kersten won her first singles match over Caimbree Gann 6-4, 6-3. Gianna Cabrera (Portsmouth, Va.) took two games in the first set and one in the second as she fell to Riley Isley 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles. Amanda Jagdeo (South Ozone Park, NY/Flushing HS) did the same as she lost to Kristen Colie 6-2, 6-1 at sixth singles.
The WildCats will next face Clark University tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
