LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's tennis team hosted Ferrum in an ODAC match on Wednesday afternoon. The WildCats won the match by the score of 9-0.
Randolph wins its first conference match of the season as it improved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
All three doubles matches saw the WildCats drop just one game at second and third doubles and two games at first doubles.
In the singles portion, Jacob Martin had a tough battle against Tripoom Jala at first singles but was able to pull out a 6-4, 6-4 win. Jason Duval easily took down Will Davis at fourth singles 6-0, 6-0. Angelo De Asis (Clayton, N.C./Cleveland HS) dropped one game in his fifth singles match against Jairo Herbas as he was victorious 6-0, 6-1. Other winners includes Andreas Mulner (Brasnov, Romania) at second singles, Ondra Pelda (Prague, Czech Republic) at third singles and Nate Quisbert at sixth singles.
Randolph will host William Peace this coming Saturday. The match starts at 10:30 am.
