LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's volleyball team hosted Bridgewater in their regular season finale on Saturday afternoon at Giles Gymnasium. The two teams battled to four sets where the visiting Eagles came out on top 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-9, 25-13).

Bridgewater took an early lead in the first set as it got out ahead 7-2. With BC holding an 11-7 lead, the WildCats came back to tie it up at 11-11. The Eagles edged out in front of the 'Cats as they went up 21-16. Randolph closed to within two points at 22-20 but BC scored three straight points to take the set 25-20.

Randolph trailed in the second set 13-11 but a 14-3 run by the WildCats overtook the Eagles as Randolph won 25-16 to knot the match at 1-1. Bridgewater led for all of the third set as its 17-5 lead turned into 20-6 advantage and then 25-9 for the win.

The WildCats had an early 6-2 lead in the fourth set as they looked to even the match up. It was 8-5 Randolph until the Eagles used a 15-2 run to break away and lead 20-10. The deficit was took much for the WildCats to overcome as the Eagles took the set 25-13 to claim the match.

Jillian Warter (Leesburg, Va./Loudon County HS) led the team with 19 kills and hit .350. Jayda Domenech (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) tallied 19 assists and seven digs. McKayla Padgett (Amherst, Va./Amherst County HS) had a team-high 14 digs. MacKenzie Woodson (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) and Brooke Murdock (Evington, Va./Timberlake Christian) both had three block assists each.

The WildCats finish the season with a final overall record of 14-14 and a 4-8 mark in ODAC play.
