LYNCHBURG, Va- Head Women's Basketball coach Steve Lanpher has announced that Darius Jennings will be joining his coaching staff.

"I am excited to have Darius join our staff," said Lanpher.  "His coaching experience and passion for the game is evident and should certainly have a positive impact on our program.  Coach Jennings will focus on skill development, assist in recruiting, and oversee our post players.    

Jennings was previously the head women's basketball coach at Virginia University of Lynchburg last season. He had been an assistant coach at Virginia Postgrad Academy in Chantilly in 2021-22. Jennings was also an assistant at William Campbell, Randolph High School, and Halifax County High School.

Jennings has worked at camps and clinics at the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University and Longwood University.

Jennings attended Virginia Union University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems while minoring in Sports Management.
