VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team made a midweek trip out east to Virginia Wesleyan to take on the Marlins on Wednesday evening. VWU came out on top on the night 26-5.
Bruce Patterson (Fork Union, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) and
Zach Miller (Corpus Christi, Texas/Fork Union Military Academy) both scored a pair of goals for the WildCats.
Michael Baldwin (Culpepper, Va./Liberty HS) scored Randolph's other goal.
Chase Callan (Fredericksburg, Va.) tallied two assists and
Kent Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County) one.
Tom Stahler (Cape May Court House, N.J./Middle Township) had three groundball pickups and was 3-for-8 on faceoffs.
Colin Murphy (Cedar Park, Texas/Austin HS) caused two turnovers.
Adam Ulffers (Greenville, N.C./J.H.Rose) had 17 saves in the cage for the 'Cats. He also picked up three groundballs.
Randolph hosts Averett next Wednesday at WildCat Stadium. Game time is at 6:00 p.m.
