LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team made the short trip across town to the University of Lynchburg on Friday evening to face the #11 ranked Hornets at a rainy Shellenberger Field. The Hornets defeated the WildCats by the score of 18-1.
Bruce Patterson (Fork Union, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) scored Randolph's lone goal of the night off an assist from
Zach Miller (Corpus Christi, Texas Fork Union Military Academy) with 3:25 remaining in the third quarter. That broke a two-game scoreless streak to the Hornets.
Adam Ullfers (Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose HS) had 10 saves in the cage for the WildCats.
CJ Berry (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) came away with three groundball pickups.
Britton Malcolm (Churchville, Va./Buffalo Gap) caused two turnovers.
Randolph travels to Virginia Wesleyan this coming Wednesday. Game time will be at 7:00 p.m.
