MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Randolph softball team played the first two games of its four-game trip in Myrtle Beach on Monday at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. The WildCats won their first game 9-0 over the University of Maine, Presque Isle and dropped the nightcap 3-1 to Utica University.

Starting pitcher Emily Morris (Esmont, Va./Monticello) retired all three batters she faced in the second, third, and fourth innings. In the Randolph fourth, Delaney Nuckols (Rockville, Va./Patrick Henry) reached on an error by the Owls shortstop that let Dominque Irving (Amherst, Va./Amherst County) to score.
