HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Randolph men's tennis played Cornell College on Tuesday afternoon in Hilton Head. The Rams won 6-3.
Cornell won all three doubles matches. First doubles was close as
Nicolas Alvarado (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Olimpo) and
Dev Mani (Bangalore, India/St. Claret PU College) went up against Alexander Strumlauf and Federico Polidori. Strumlauf and Polidori edged out Alvarado and Mani 8-5.
Alvarado won his first singles match over Polidoro 6-2, 6-1. Mani defeated Christopher Penas Hull 6-2, 6-2 at second singles.
Jose Merhej (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) was the other winner for Randolph as he topped August Krahn 6-2, 6-2.
The WildCats will face Webster University on Thursday afternoon. The match will start at 1:30 pm.
