SALEM, Va.- The Randolph women's basketball team knew it had a tall task in front of them as they faced off against Washington and Lee in the ODAC Semifinals on Saturday afternoon at the Salem Civic Center. The Generals led for all but 24 seconds of the game as they defeated the WildCats 71-45 to advance to the ODAC Championship.

It was 7-5 Randolph with 6:43 remaining in the first quarter. Washington and Lee went on a 19-6 run to pull away and lead 26-11 with a minute remaining in the period as the WildCats could never make a dent into the General advantage.

"Tough day for the WildCats," said head coach Steve Lanpher.  "Hats off to W&L as they came out and were firing on all cylinders.  To be honest, I feel like the pressure of the moment got to us a little and defensively we were a step slow and they certainly made us pay."
