Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph men's soccer team traveled to the campus of Greensboro College on Saturday to face the Pride. The WildCats dominated on the stat sheet and needed just one goal to defeat Greensboro by the score of 1-0. It was the first win for new coach Brian O'Connor with the WildCats.
Randolph led in total shots 17-1 and in shots on goal 8-0. The Pride's only shot in the contest occurred in the 9th minute. The WildCats registered eight corner kicks to Greensboro's three.
The WildCats scored the game's only goal at 12:25 of the first half as Ben Gries (Lynchburg, Va./Amherst) assisted Isaac Carney (Charleston, W.V./Homeschool).
Noah Carney (Charleston, W.V./Homeschool) had six of Randolph's 17 shots with three of those coming on frame.
Randolph looks to keep its winning ways going when it travels to Southern Virginia on Wednesday. Game time in Buena Vista will be at 7:00 p.m.
