LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's tennis hosted Ferrum at the Crosswhite Athletic Club on Wednesday afternoon in the WildCats' ODAC opener. The WildCats defeated the Panthers 5-2.
Randolph claimed two doubles matches. Nicolas Alvarado (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Olimpo) and Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) defeated the pair of Patrick Marsh and Jacob Glass 8-3 at first doubles. Bhuvan Ambekallu (Karnataka, India/Bethany High) and Colby Cook (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) easily handled Viktor Johanssen and Tom Doherty 8-0 at second doubles.
In the singles portion, Alvarado was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Johanssen at #1. Kulvivat won by the same score over Marsh at #2. Cook defeated William David 6-2, 6-1 at #4 singles.
Randolph travels to Guilford on Saturday. Match time is at 1:00 p.m.
