ASHLAND, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team played its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference game of the season on Saturday as it faced Randolph-Macon at a snowy Nunnally Field. The Yellow Jackets won by the score of 24-1.
The WildCats' lone goal was scored by Tyler Johnson (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) with 35 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. It was his third of the season.
Kyle Grundy (Warrenton, Va./Kettle Run) had a team-high four ground balls. He also caused one turnover.
William Olichney (Lynchburg, Va.) finished with 11 saves in the net for Randolph. Kent Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County) also saw time between the pipes and had two saves.
Randolph hosts Juniata in a non-conference game this coming Wednesday at WildCat Stadium. Game time will be at 3:30 p.m.
