LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team hosted William Peace in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon at WildCat Stadium. The Pacers won by the score of 14-3.
The Pacers led 5-0 at halftime. Randolph scored pair of goals around a seventh Pacer goal to make it 7-2 with 9:07 remaining in the third quarter. The WildCats' second goal came off as a direct result of a caused turnover by Tyler Johnson (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) who quickly raced down to the net for the score.
Randolph's final goal came early in the fourth quarter. Jack Dolan (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season.
Dolan, Johnson, and Sean Landis (Williamsburg, Va./Lafaytette) all had Randolph's goals. Kyle Grundy (Warrenton, Va./Battlefied) caused a team-best three turnovers. William Olichney (Lynchburg, Va.) had 12 saves in goal and led in groundballs with four. Tom Stahler (Cape May Court House, NJ/Middle Township) had three groundball pickups.
The WildCats return to action on March 9 when they host Husson University. Game time will be at 3:30 p.m.
