MISENHEIMER, N.C.- The Randolph men's tennis team traveled to Pfeiffer on Sunday for a non-conference match. The Falcons won by the score of 8-1.
Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md. Severna Park) and Nico Alvarado (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Olimpo) had a close match at first doubles. The pair lost 8-6 to Dylan Masters and Benedikt Pfeiffer.
Kulvivat was the lone winner on the afternoon. He took down Alex Taylor at #2 singles in a super tiebreaker 6-3, 6-7, 10-6. Alvarado fell 6-4, 7-5 to Pfeiffer. Both Colby Cook (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) and Jose Merhej (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) lost 6-2, 6-0 in their respective matches.
The WildCats look to bounce back on Wednesday when they face Mary Baldwin. The start time of the match is 1:00 p.m.
