GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph women's swimming team competed at the first full day of completion at the 2022 ODAC Championships. The WildCats are currently tied for ninth with Guilford with a total of 40 points.
The finals portion of the day featured the 400 medley relay. The team of Eva Pontius (Lynchburg, Va.), Ava Skinner (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville), Bryana Smith (Williamsburg, Va./Lafayette), and Molly McNair (New South Wales, Austrailia/Figtree) swam a time of 4:41.98 which bested their prelim time by over three seconds.
Earlier in the day in the preliminaries, Pontius swam a time of 5:56.70 in the 500 yard free. McNair posted a time of 6:36.90.
Smith had a final time of 2:25.33 in the 200 IM.
Skinner had the top time for the WildCats in the 50 free as she touched the wall in 28.67. Following her were Kyra Miller (Richmond, Va.)(30.11), Madeline Freshour (South Boston, Va./Halifax) (31.38), and Hannah Cloven (Fredericksburg, Va.) (34.58).
Competition resumes tomorrow at 10:00 am with the preliminaries and the finals at 6:00 p.m.
