Volleyball Recognizes Three Seniors

LYNCHBURG, Va- The Randolph volleyball team acknowledged its three seniors on Saturday before a match against Lynchburg's club team. All three were recognized for their dedication and contributions to the program.

 

#11 Tomi-Lauren McGinnis (Ringgold, Va./Dan River)

McGinnis is a three-time captain for the WildCats. In her four years, she played in 291 sets and 85 matches having played in every match for Randolph the last four seasons. In her career, she accumulated 482 kills, 574 digs, 67 service aces, 42 total blocks, and 37 assists.

McGinnis is a three-time ODAC All-Academic Team honoree, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District and VaSID All-Academic Team selection. Last year, she was named the ODAC Volleyball Scholar-Athlete. She is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Alpha Theta. Tomi is a History major.

 

#22 Kylee Bennett (Fayetteville, Ga./Whitewater)

Bennett played in 62 sets in 29 matches for the 'Cats. In her career, she totaled 35 kills, 22 digs, and 35 total blocks. She is a Chemical Engineering major in the 3+2 program. She was twice named to the ODAC All-Academic Team.

 

#24 Nikki Hurt (Cartersville, Va./Cumberland)

Hurt played in 127 sets in 45 matches. In her three-year career with the WIldCats, she totaled 183 kills, 129 digs, 22 total blocks, and 10 service aces. She is a Sport and Exercise Studies major graduating in three years.
