LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team hosted Brevard College in the WildCats' lone home match of the fall season. The Tornados won by the score of 6-1.
In the doubles portion,
Zeinab Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington) and
Valentina Santos (Valcenia, Venezuela) teamed up at first singles. The duo fell 8-4 to the pair of Alli Kogoy and Hannah Hersh.
Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) and
Jenna Fink (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst) lost 8-2 to Hamrick Perry and and Brooke Garland.
Elkhansa was the lone winner on the day as she defeated Garland at #3 singles 6-4, 6-2. Santos' #1 singles match was the last to complete. She went to a super tiebreak against Kogoy and fell 4-6, 6-1, 10-6.
The WildCats will complete the fall portion of their schedule at the ITA Regionals on September 25 and 26. Those matches will be held on the campus of Mary Washington.
