LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's lacrosse team hosted its final game of the season on Tuesday as the WildCats took on #25 Roanoke. The Maroons won by the score of 26-3.
Cristina Berenguer-Llongueras (Barcelona, Spain) scored Randolph's first goal on an assist by Molly McNair (Wolongong, Austrailia/Figtree) with 22:15 remaining in the first half. It was Berenguer-Llongueras' first career goal. She also caused two turnovers.
Sarah Perry (Rocky Mount, Va./Franklin County) scored her team-leading 44th goal midway through the second half. Sophia Cirone (Stuart, Fla./South Fork) scored her 23rd goal of the season with just 4:10 remaining in regulation. Cirone won five draw controls while Perry won four.
All three of the Randolph's goals came on the woman-up opportunity.
The WildCats head to Guilford on Thursday. Game time will be at 5:00 p.m.
