LYNCHBURG, VA.- Mother Nature forced a change in venue for the women's tennis team as they hosted #18 ranked Washington and Lee on Wednesday afternoon. The two played at Crosswhite Athletic Club. The Generals would defeat the WildCats 6-3.
Both teams started out with singles play. The Generals brought four players with so #5 and #6 singles were forfeited to Randolph. At third singles, Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) was the lone WildCat to win a game as she was defeated by Becket Waters 6-1, 6-0.
First and second doubles were played. Livingston and Zu Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington) claimed two games but ultimately fell to Kaitlyn Chalker and Nell Covington 8-2.
Randolph hosts its final match of the season on Friday as it hosts Virginia Wesleyan. The match will start at 2:00 p.m.
