LYNCHBURG, Va.- It was a warm and sunny Friday afternoon as the Randolph women's tennis team hosted Bridgewater in ODAC play. The Eagles defeated the WildCats by the score of 8-1.
The WildCats took two games in the doubles portion of the match. Zu Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington) and Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) fell to Whitney Kiser and Malena Hoover 8-2 at first doubles.
In singles play, Heather Whetzel (Grottoes, Va./Harrisonburg) was the last on the court and came away a winner. She defeated Emily Daigneault 6-2, 6-2 at second singles. Elkhansa won two games at #1 singles and fell to Kiser 6-0, 6-2.
Randolph is back on the courts tomorrow as it hosts Guilford. Match time begins at 1:00 p.m.
