LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team began its 2021 season on Saturday as they traveled across town to face the University of Lynchburg. The Hornets defeated the WildCats 24-0.
The WildCats had four shots on goal in the game.
Matthew Piascik (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal Church) had two on frame with
Zach Miller (Louisa, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) and
Jack Dolan (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) both recording a shot on goal. Miller was 7-of-21 on faceoffs and also collected two groundballs.
William Doyle (Louisville, Ky./Louisville Collegiate) had 13 saves in the cage.
Nick Pietro (Spotslyvania, Va./Massaponax) and
CJ Berry (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) both had two caused turnovers.
Randolph travels to Danville on Wednesday to face Averett. Game time will be at 5:00 p.m.
