FERRUM, Va.- The Randolph men's soccer team wrapped the regular season on Tuesday night as it traveled to Ferrum. The WildCats had no problem with the Panthers as they would win by the final score of 5-1.
Randolph improves to 12-2-2 overall and finishes the conference slate with a record of 5-2-2. Ferrum ends its season at 2-15 and 1-8 in the ODAC.
Noah Carney (Charleston, W.V./Homeschool) got it started for the WildCats with his first goal of the night in the 20th minute. Carney would score again just over a minute later to put Randolph ahead 2-0.
Ben Gries (Lynchburg, Va./Amherst) later made it 3-0 'Cats in the 34th minute. Randolph ended the first half with a 13-4 advantage in total shots.
The Panthers got one back in the second half as Leo Galpin scored at 51:38 to make it 3-1. Just over three minutes later, the Panthers were called for a foul near their goal. Granted a penalty kick,
Evan Blow (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) was able to deliver as he converted on his opportunity to make it a 4-1 Randolph lead.
The WildCats had the game well in hand as they brought in substitutes. The 'Cats added to their lead as
Colby Lambert (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) scored his first collegiate goal in the 84th minute.
Randolph outshot Ferrum 25-7 and 13-6 in shots on goal. Corner kicks were in the WildCats' favor 7-1

Zach Aylor (Vinton, Va./William Byrd) stopped four shots in goal for the WildCats. Chris Rodriguez had eight saves for the Panthers.
The WildCats now prepare for the upcoming ODAC Tournament which begins this weekend. Randolph will be the #4 seed and will host #5 Roanoke on Saturday. Game time will be announced later.
