LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph equestrian team competed at Lynchburg on Sunday afternoon. The WildCats placed fourth in the eight-team competition. Bridgewater was the overall winner.
Senior co-captain Michelle Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) won her Novice Fence Class. She was also fourth in the Intermediate Flat.
Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) was second in Open Fences and third in Open Flat. Adelle Novak (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) was fourth in Novice Fences while Rikki Carretta was fourth in walk Trot.
Co-captain Abby Carpenter (Danville, Va./George Washington) was fourth in Advanced Walk Trot Canter and in the process qualified for Regionals. Alexandra Geier (Richmond, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) was third.
On Saturday, Randolph was tied for fourth with host Hollins and James Madison. The University of Virginia was the overall winner.
Taylor Price won Novice Flat and was 3rd in Novice fences. Carpenter was third in Advance Walk Trot Canter.
The WildCats are back in action on March 23 when they compete at UVA.
