LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team concluded the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday as the WildCats competed at the University of Lynchburg's show. Randolph garnered 32 points to fall into a three-way tie for third place with Bridgewater and Washington and Lee. The University of Virginia was first overall with 35 points.
Katie Brown (Winchester, Va./James Wood) won the Walk Trot as did Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) in Open Fences. Tidmore was also fifth in Open Flat.
Michelle Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) rode to a second place result in the Intermediate Flat. Molly McLaughlin (Owings, Md./Northern) was third. Liz Bearisto (Bowie, Md./Bowie) and Taylor Price both came in third in Novice Flat and Sidney Clark (St. Augustine Fla./Smithson Valley) had Randolph's fourth yellow ribbon in advanced Walk Trot Canter.
Other results included Amber Bowman (Boones Mill, Va./Franklin County) coming in fifth in Intermediate Fences and Price earning a pink ribbon in Novice Jumps.
Randolph currently sits 20 points ahead in its region. Its next IHSA show will be February 10th at the Riding Center.
