Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- On Breast Cancer Awareness Night, Guilford
spoiled the event, taking a 62-38 victory in women's basketball
action.
Continuing Randolph's cancer awareness initiative, the WildCats
wore pink warmups to help raise awareness for breast cancer.
In addition, there was a fundraiser sponsored by Randolph's SAAC
to raise funds for cancer research and a 50/50 raffle, with the
proceeds graciously donated back to SAAC by the winner.

Once the game tipped off, Guilford assumed control, never
trailing in the victory.
Both teams locked down defensively early, as could be expected
from the top two ranked defenses in the conference.
With just 11 points combined in the first 6:53, both teams
played suffocating defense in the opening minutes.
Guilford built upon its early lead throughout the first half,
using a 10-2 run to pull away after Randolph got within two.
In the second half, the Quakers turned it on offensively,
shooting 64% from the floor to seal the victory.
Once again, however, Randolph was stellar at defending the
three, holding the Quakers to just 1-for-11 from deep.
Eight different WildCats hit from the field in the contest and
nine earned steals on the day in the back-and-forth affair.
Senior Jensen Hoover, fresh off of moving into
fifth in program history in career rebounding, lead the team with
nine today.
The WildCats travel to Eastern Mennonite next before returning
home mid-week to face Lynchburg.
