Box Score FERRUM, Va. -- In the team's final regular season matchup, Randolph topped Ferrum, 3-1, in volleyball action.
It was a balanced effort for the WildCats in the final game of their regular season slate, with three players with double-digit kills and three with double figure digs.
Sophomore Alex Mariona and senior Katherine Lesnak each had a dozen kills, while senior Jordan Templin had 10.
Lesnak and Templin were also in double figures for digs, with 16 and 13, respectively, while senior libero Lexi Harrington added a dozen.
The offense once again went through record-breaking setter Kerry McMichael, who had 47 assists to continue her stellar season.
In a first set of numerous runs, Randolph was on the wrong end of a 27-25 scoreline, giving the Panthers the first frame.
The team bounced back, however, taking the second set. After Ferrum fought off three set points, McMichael went on the attack to earn the necessary 25th point.
The WildCats rolled in set three, 25-16, putting the team within striking distance of a win.
Ferrum fought off two match points, but a service error ended the match, handing Randolph the win.
The WildCats will advance to the playoffs on Wednesday to face Washington and Lee.
