Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- In front of a raucous Homecoming crowd, the WildCats made sure to send their volleyball fans home happy, earning a 3-0 win.
With the straight set victory, the WildCats earn their sixth win of the year, making it impossible for eight other teams to finish ahead of them in the standings. With that, they are unofficially playoff bound for the first time since 2006.
Seniors Jordan Templin, Lexi Harrington and Kerry McMichael once again led the WildCats in three important categories.
Teplin led all hitters with 13 kills, Harrington's 18 digs was a match high, and McMichael's 26 was also tops in the match.
Defensively, the WildCats received 10 blocks. Junior Marissa McClinton and sophomore Alex Mariona each assisted on five blocks, while Templin and sophomore Noelle Wojciechowski both had four.
McClinton is second in the ODAC in the category, while Wojciechowski is fourth.
Wojciechowski also made her mark on the offensive end with set-ending kills in the first and third, while senior Katherine Lesnak finished off the second with a put-away.
"I think we came out really strong with our goal in mind of making the tournament," Wojciechowski said. "Everything was spot on. We worked as a unit and got things done."

"This win was very important for us to reach our main goal," interim head coach Kara Matthews said. "We achieved our first goal but there is still more to accomplish."
With key playoff seeding on the line, the WildCats will conclude their home ODAC slate on Wednesday with a 5:00 match at home against Lynchburg.
