Box Score FERRUM, Va. -- For the second Tuesday in a row, Randolph toppled Ferrum, this time on the road.
Last week, in it's home opener, Randolph (6-4) took home a 25-19, 25-12, 25-11 victory over Ferrum (1-4).
This week it took four sets, but the WildCats won in its return trip 25-21, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20.
Jordan Templin (Ferrum, Va./Franklin Co.) was dominant, leading all players in kills (19), digs (16), and aces (4).
Her kills are her most since Sept. 8, 2012 and the second most of her three-year career. She hit .517, which is the fifth best mark of her career and led all hitters tonight.
In tonight's contest, Randolph took the first set after scoring five of the final six points, breaking a 20-20 tie.
The second set was less competitive after Randolph scored six straight points on the service of Andrea Mewhinney (Sanford, N.C./Overhills) to get up 19-10.
The sophomore later set up first-year Skyler Wood (Concord, Va./Rustburg) for the set's final kill.
Ferrum stayed alive with a third set win after eight ties, the last of which came at 21-21, kept Randolph within striking distance of a match point before taking the 25-23 win.
In the fourth set, the Panthers took an 11-8 lead, but the WildCats rattled off five of the next six points to take a lead they would never relinquish.
