Shenandoah Dashes Volleyball's Playoff Hopes

Box Score

WINCHESTER, Va. -- Randolph needed to win out in its final two matches to have a shot at the playoffs, but fell today.

Junior Jordan Templin (Ferrum, Va./Franklin Co.) was the only WildCat (11-10, 2-8 ODAC) in double figures in two categories, digs and kills.

The WildCats were forced to hit at a negative clip in the second and third sets, putting the team at a huge disadvantage.

After falling behind 22-15 in the first set, the team rallied, but couldn't get over the hump, falling 25-22.

After taking an 8-6 lead in the second, a six point Shenandoah (13-14, 5-6 ODAC) run put the Hornets ahead for good.

That momentum continued, as Shenandoah opened the third set up 7-0.

The WildCats are now eliminted from postseason play, but still have a chance at a winning season with two matches left, sitting one game above .500.
