Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. -- Randolph is fighting for its playoff life, while W&L needs tonight's 7:00 p.m., contest in its hunt for the top seed.
About the WildCats:
At 2-6, Randolph needs at least two more ODAC wins to reach the playoffs.
Chasing Bridgewater and Guilford, both 4-6, Randolph has three matches left to chase down at least one of the two teams.
Junior Jordan Templin (Ferrum, Va./Franklin Co.) received ODAC honors for her tremendous week leading Randolph to a 2-0 record.
Templin now leads the ODAC in kills per match, with 12.7 per contest.
About the Generals:
W&L is the defending ODAC champion and sits at 8-1 in ODAC play, a half game behind Randolph-Macon, but holds the tiebreaker with Yellow Jackets.
The Generals were swept last time out, surprisingly, by Bridgewater for their first ODAC loss.
M.A. Boles leads the ODAC in kills, while Mackenzie Shand leads the league in hitting percentage. Meghan Meleski is tops in aces and assists.
About the matchup:
While W&L has multiple wins over teams that have beaten Randolph, Randolph cruised against a Bridgewater team that beat W&L.
Randolph has never beaten Washington & Lee.
WildCat to watch:
Kerry McMichael (Westminster, S.C./West Oak) has been the primary setter for the WildCats this season.
The junior will be counted on to put the team's hitters in positions to end points early, as W&L features the conference's leaders in hitting, hitting percentage and assists.
