Leandro led the WildCats to a 12-15 record in their first season. Two of his players, Mats Beentjes and Ahmed Diallo, were named to the ODAC Second and Third Team, respectively.
Leandro was named the first Randolph men's volleyball head coach in October 2023. He came to Lynchburg from Northwestern High School in Albion, Pa. where he inherited and subsequently resurrected a winless volleyball program to its first five match wins in over a four-year time span. His collegiate club playing career at Grove City College included the Wolverines ranking as high as fifth nationally and consistently among the top 25 Division III club teams in the country.
While a student at Grove City, he molded his coaching experience and philosophy under the mentoring of head coach Leo Sayles, who has returned the Wolverines women's program to prominence in the Presidents' Athletic Conference in his five seasons on campus and now also manages the newly minted men's varsity program.
Leandro is a 2021 graduate of Grove City with a degree in Mathematics.
