Biography

2019: Moved to catcher on a full time basis … one of two players to play in all 38 games … 106 at-bats was tied for second on team … had career highs in hits (24), doubles (6), and RBI (14) … six doubles led WildCats … season-high three hits and three RBI to help lead ‘Cats to 8-7 win over EMU … committed just five errors in 192 putouts … threw out seven would be base stealers … fielding percentage of .977 was second on team
2018: Took on a much larger role in her junior season … started primarily in centerfield with five appearances at catcher … played in a team-leading 35 games and had 90 at-bats … 22 hits led all batters … tied for second in runs scored with 14 … first career homerun came in second game of the season at Ferrum … finished with two homers on the season …  seven multiple hit games with two three-hit performances.

2017: Made a big step in her second season…learned a new position, primarily playing the whole year in the outfield…also appeared in several instances as a pinch-runner…started 26 times during the year, playing left and right field…committed only a single error…registered a career-high 15 hits…drove in nine runs during the season…had two hits and four RBI against SVU and three hits against Sweet Briar…will look to take on an even bigger role in her junior season.

2016: Saw action in 19 games during her first year on campus, including starting one of those games…registered her first career RBI in that win over Southern Virginia…picked up her first career-hit against Mary Baldwin…the very quick and athletic player was used primarily as a pinch-runner…scored four runs and stole a base…will look to take on a larger role as a sophomore.

Previous: Played four years of softball for James River High School…started two seasons for the Knights and was named a captain for one season…was twice named second-team all-conference…earned one first-team and one second-team all-district honor…also played one year of travel.

Personal: Daughter of Curtis Lucado, Jr. and Michelle King…has three younger siblings…was the president of the Monogram Club in high school...minoring in psychology.
