Tony Campbell

Tony Campbell enters his 16th season as an assistant coach having joined the staff at Randolph College for the 2010 season. Campbell has over 25 years of experience coaching softball at various different levels of competition.

Campbell is no stranger to the Lynchburg area having served as the head coach at nearby Sweet Briar College for eight seasons. Campbell started the club program at Sweet Briar in 2001, turning it into an NCAA sport in 2003, and was the head coach there until 2008. Prior to his time at Sweet Briar, Campbell coached on the summer travel circuit for eight years with two different clubs. Campbell was the Scrappers, based out of Roanoke from 1999-2003.

Before his time with the Scrappers, Campbell was with the Blue Ridge Sudden Impact travel team, based out of Lynchburg, from 1996 to 1999. He also coached at Amherst County High School for seven seasons, and was a graduate of Amherst County where he was a standout on the baseball and football fields.
