Kasdyn Waldron

Kazdyn Waldron (Coach Coop) is in her fourth season with Randolph Softball. After being an assistant for three seasons, Coop was named Head Coach for the 2020 season.

Throughout the 2022 season, the WildCats led the country in hits as a team throughout the regular season under Waldron's watch while also placing in the top 10 for stolen bases and individual batting average. With 2022 being Waldron's first full season with the WildCats she was able to fully introduce and implement a new culture and approach. The team finished with a .309 BA and .364 OB% with 168 RBI. She had a program-record five players named to the ODAC All-Conference Team in 2022 with three named to the First Team. In addition, designated player Diane Mahiai was named Second Team All-Region by the NFCA becoming the first WildCat since 2014 to earn that distinction. Mahiai and Dominique Irving were both selected to the VaSID College Division All-State Team.

Despite being quarantined for over a month in the 2021 season, Waldron had a hand in placing Freshman Chloe Persinger to the All-Conference Second Team as a Utility Player.

Since coming on staff, Waldron has lifted several athletes within the top 10 leaderboards in the history of Randolph Softball.

Prior to joining Randolph, she played at the Division III and Division I level as well as worked with various college programs.

She resides in Monroe with her husband Justin Waldron (Head Women's Basketball Coach at Liberty High School), daughter Jayceleigh and dogs Lilo and Lila.
