Alex Dunzweiler

Dunzweiler begins his first season with the WildCats after serving as the Assistant Men's and Women's Coach at Guilford College in the past season.

At Guilford College, he worked with the men's and women's programs while contributing to recruiting, player development, and practice planning. He had a key role in the development of the women's team's No. 1 singles player, who earned All-ODAC honors.

The bulk of Dunzweiler's teaching experience comes in the private club industry. While concurrently assisting Guilford, he served as events supervisor and sports team lead at the Burlington (N.C.) Pickleball Complex since 2024. In that role, he was charged with developing instructional curricula, programming, and cultivating community partnerships.

Dunzweiler's private club tennis experience culminated by serving as head of junior development/interim director of racquets at Westwood Swim and Tennis Club in Winston-Salem, N.C. Prior to those roles, he served as an assistant tennis professional. While at the club, he managed tennis operations, directed junior programming, coordinated communications with members, and developed training opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels.

He also spent two years as an assistant tennis professional at Green Valley Swim and Tennis Club in Greensboro, N.C. During his tenure from 2021-23, he coached interclub teams, organized tournaments and member events, and expanded community partnerships to enhance programming and outreach.

Dunzweiler is a 2017 University of North Carolina at Charlotte graduate, earning his bachelor of arts in Political Science. He's completed graduate coursework at Tulane University and is currently completing a Master of Public Adminstration at Wake Forest University with an anticipated graduation in August.
