Greg Hofmann

Hofmann is a Health and Physical Education teacher at Heritage High school where he has held that post since 2004. He is currently the head boy's and girl's coach at Heritage since 2005 and also has coached the Peakland Otter Summer League team since 2010. Prior to this, Hofmann established the Virginia Gators of Lynchburg swim team. This was a USA swim team that consisted of over 100 swimmers, many of whom went on to swim at the national and collegiate level. Hofmann has been the head coach for six LAL Championships, a coach at Junior Nationals in Tampa, Florida, and VHSL Conference 30 Coach of the year in 2016 and 2017.

Hofmann is a 2003 graduate of Old Dominion University where he swam and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education K-12 Teacher Certification. Last August he earned a Master's in Educational Leadership Supervision and Administration Pre K-12. He was a member of the ODU swim team from 1999-2002 where he was a Colonial Athletic Association finalist in 2002.
