Biography

2013: Became the marked man offensively for the WildCats, but that still didn''t stop him as he became one of the ODAC''s leading scorers ... has one of the best shots in the league ... physically strong and agile ... led the WildCats in scoring for the second straight season with a school-record 33 goals ... started all 16 goals after moving back to the No. 1 midfield line ... dished out seven assists ... had a team-best 10 man-up goals ... picked up 37 ground balls ... was 12th in the ODAC in goals ... second in the conference in man-advantage tallies ... took a team-best 103 shots ... was first in extra-man goals in ODAC-only goals with seven ... scored in all but one game this season ... posted four goals and an assist against Susquehanna March 9 ... tallied four times at Ferrum February 20 ... had seven hat tricks throughout the year ... had three goals in three straight games against Franciscan, Roanoke and Shenandoah ... posted a pair of man-up goals at Washington and Lee ... had five ground balls February 19 at Southern Virginia ... chalked up a season-best eight loose ball pickups against Franciscan ... holds the single-season record for goals, shots, man-up goals, game-winners and man-down goals ... has scored the most goals of anyone in program history (67) entering his senior campaign.

2012: Wood came back from an injury the year before and enjoyed the best statistical season for Randolph ever ... posted a program-record 30 goals on the season ... registered six multi-goal affairs ... 1.81 points per game is the most in a season for a WildCat men''s laxer ... in the league''s top 15 in goals scored ... posted a program-record seven goals in a win over Huntingdon College March 21 ... scored four goals and dished out an assist against Piedmont College February 22 ... tallied four scores in games against Mitchell (March 10), Virginia Wesleyan (March 28), and Hampden-Sydney (April 21) ... picked up 25 ground balls on the season ... had a career-high pickups against Lynchburg College April 4 ... led the team in shots taken ... already the all-time goals scored leader at the College after only his sophomore year.  

2011: Immensely talented midfielder that struggled with injuries much of his first season...has one of the hardest shots on the team...played in six games, starting three contests...scored four goals and dished out one assist on the year...two goals and one assist against Roanoke College...had three ground balls against Virginia Wesleyan, Washington & Lee and Roanoke...chalked up 12 ground balls on the year...scored once against W&L and Randolph-Macon.

Before Randolph: Colton was a four-year starter for Otay Ranch High School in Chula Vista, CA ... won four letters in lacrosse as a middie ... captain for two years ... All Conference and broke single season goals scored record for the league in 2008 ... Team MVP and broke single season point record in conference in 2009 ... Co-MVP, All County, broke own previous records for goals and points in a single season, and broke goal and point record for a career in 2010.  

Personal: Son of Kenneth and Kerri Wood ... has one younger sister, Carlee ... second-degree black belt ... physics major ... enjoys working out and playing the guitar during his spare time.
