Chaffins returns to Randolph College as she was hired as the Assistant Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Randolph College ahead the 2025-26 season, marking her return to the WildCats after three years of collegiate coaching experience.
Chaffins most recently served as the Assistant Track & Field Coach at Heidelberg University (2023-25) in Tiffin, Ohio, where she worked under her former Randolph coach, Bill Cooper. At Heidelberg, she specialized in coaching the jumps and guided multiple student-athletes to record-breaking performances and conference honors. Among her highlights, Olivia Bean shattered a 35-year-old indoor triple jump school record in 2024, while Lexi Wachtman earned back-to-back All-Conference honors from placing third in the long jump (2024) and second in the long jump (2025).
Prior Heidelberg, Chaffins spent the 2022-23 season as an Assistant Track & Field Coach at Regent University in Virgina Beach, Va. There, she coached Kevin Cropper to qualify for both indoor and outdoor NCCAA nationals in all three jumps. Cropper went on to place third in the high jump at outdoor nationals in 2023, earning NCCAA All-American honors.
A standout student-athlete at Randolph from 2017-22, Chaffins excelled as a two-sport athlete in volleyball and track & field. She graduated with seven school records and continues to hold the program marks in the indoor long jump, outdoor long and triple jump, and outdoor high jump. Her decorated career included All-Conference recognition, USTFCCCA All-South Region honors, Virginia All-State (Division III) accolades, and being named ODAC Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week. In 2021, she was honored as Randolph College Women's Athlete of the Year.
Chaffins earned her B.A. in Sport & Exercise Studies and B.A. in Communication Studies from Randolph College in 2021, then went on to complete her M.A. in Coaching & Sport Leadership from Randolph.
