Jayden Watkins placed third overall in the pole vault at the 2026 ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Randolph College men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2026 ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a sixth-place finish following a solid two-day performance over the weekend.
The team had numerous top-10 finishes to secure a sixth-place team finish.
Jeff Mendscole (4th) and
Ja'mar Smith (5th) both scored in the 100m, while
Leander Jackson added a sixth-place finish in the 200m. In the 400m,
Christian Humes led the charge with a fourth-place finish, followed closely by
Emir Jackson in fifth.Â
Field events also played a key role, highlighted by
Jayden Watkins' third-place podium finish in the pole vault, along with scoring efforts in the javelin.
Peyton Jackson also scored for the WildCats with an eighth-place finish in the pole vault.
Xavier White contributed in the throws with a sixth-place finish in the hammer and eighth in discus.Â
The jumps group added depth with multiple scorers in the triple jump, including
Ashton Jackson (6th),
Savion Thomas (7th),
Mario Carter (8th), Smith (9th) and a seventh-place finish from Smith in the long jump.
Randolph also excelled in relays, placing fourth in both the 4x100m (Mendscole,
James McLean, Thomas, Smith) and 4x400m (
Landon Petcher, E. Jackson,
Kyle Kurtz, and Humes).Â
In total, the WildCats recorded 16 top-10 finishes.
