Women's Swimming Continues Action on Day Three of ODAC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Back in the pool for day three of the 2026 ODAC Championships, Katelyn Spuchesi swam back into a final later that evening, followed by all-around performances from the team.

The morning started with the 100 Fly. Kaitlyn Heckman was just outside the qualification bubble, coming in 18th with a time of 1:06.01. Abby Ward finished in the top-20 with a time of 1:07.73, and Taylor-Paige Kitts finished in 1:28.52.

Spuchesi, back in the finals once again, in the 200 Free. She clocked a 2:00.64 to finish 13th. In the finals, she swam 2:00.03 for 13th place. Rio Bucy competed and came in at 2:12.14, Katie Scifres came in at 2:18.67, and Maddie Dyl came in at 2:22.75.

Taylor Eshelman led the WildCats in the 100 breaststroke, where she finished 18th to just miss the finals bubble with a time of 1:15.39. Alaura Arringdale followed up with a 1:18.39.

The morning session ended with Ward and Kitts competing in the 100 backstroke. Ward came in the top 20 with a time of 1:10.90, and Kitts came in at 1:19.17.

In the evening session as well, the WildCats competed in the 200 Medley relay. The team of Ward, Eshelman, Heckman, and Spuchesi placed seventh with a time of 2:01.32

The team remains in seventh with 103 points after day three. The final day of competition begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. and the evening session starts at 5 p.m. with the awards ceremony to follow.
