LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph men's lacrosse team earned a commanding 19–2 victory over Warren Wilson on Saturday afternoon at WildCat Stadium, securing the win on senior day.
Leyton Brightly led the charge with a season-high nine goals, igniting a Randolph offense that poured in 12 goals in the first half and never looked back.
Michael Baldwin added five goals and one assist, while
Noah Callahan chipped in two goals and three assists, showcasing the WildCats' balanced offensive attack.
After Brightly opened the scoring just 90 seconds into the first quarter, Warren Wilson responded quickly to tie the game at 1–1. But from there, it was all Randolph. The WildCats rattled off 11 unanswered goals to close out the half.
Ethan Caldwell contributed quietly but effectively, assisting on three goals, including two to Brightly in the second quarter.
Chase Callan,
Parker Eastman, and
Nathan Pradachith each added a goal apiece to round out the scoring for Randolph, who recorded assists on over half of their goals.
Defensively, the WildCats held the Owls scoreless for over 40 minutes. Warren Wilson managed to add a late goal in the fourth quarter but the game had long been out of reach.
Randolph improves to 2–10 on the season, while Warren Wilson remains at 0–10.
