Men’s Lacrosse Drops Season Finale to Shenandoah

WINCHESTER, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team played its final regular season game on Friday afternoon at Shenandoah. The Hornets defeated the WildCats 25-3.

Leyton Brightly (Spotsylvania, Va./James Monroe) scored twice to lead the WildCats. He also tied for the team lead in groundballs with five. Michael Baldwin (Culpepper, Va./Liberty HS) scored once and finishes the season with 33 goals. That not only is a new career high for him but ties the Randolph record that was set by Colton Wood in 2013. Ethan Caldwell (Santa Fe, N.M./Santa Fe Prep School) assisted on two goals.

Chase Callan (Fredericksburg, Va.) had five groundball pickups on the day. Nathan Pradachith (Alexandria, Va./Edison HS) and Britton Malcolm (Churchville, Va./Buffalo Gap) both had four groundballs each. Noah Callahan (Bristow, Va./Brentsville District HS) and Gavin Maple (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) each had three groundballs.

Adam Ulffers (Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose HS) played 30 minutes in the cage and stopped 11 shots. Keegan Slider (Saluda, Va./Christchurch School) had three saves in 15 minutes and Jake Hanna (Powhatan, Va./Powhatan) had two saves in 15 minutes.

Matt Daniel was one of four Hornet players to score three times along with Liam Johnson, Jordan Rogers, and Jake Green. Luke Petrie, Cody Griffis, Dylan Taylor, and Bruce Nyandemo all tallied two goals apiece. Dylan Foughty, Maddox Levinson, Ryan Volpe, Hudson Phillips, and Dylan Gordon all scored once.

It was the final game for WildCat seniors Baldwin, Brightly, Caldwell, Pradachith, and Ethan Condon (Atlanta, Ga./Decatur HS). Baldwin ends his Randolph career fourth in goals (80) and tied for sixth (95) in points. Brightly ends his season with a career-high 30 goals and ties his career-high of 16 assists. He finishes tied for fifth in career points (102), eighth in goals (57), and third in assists (45). Caldwell had season highs in goals (14) and assists (18) finishing fifth in career assists (34) and 10th in career points (82). Pradachith's 157 career groundball are eighth.
