Men’s Wrestling Competes at Shenandoah Invitational

TJ Piluso placed third for Randolph

WINCHESTER, Va.- The Randolph men's wrestling team competed at the Shenandoah Invitational on Sunday. The WildCats placed 10th with a total of 50 points.

TJ Piluso (Troutville, Va./Lord Botetourt) had Randolph's highest finish as he came in third in the 165-weight class. He started with 7-3 win over James Battulga from the Hornets. He dropped a 2-0 decision to Carter Davis from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Piluso recovered to then defeat Carter Mottley 11-6 from Otterbein and win 7-5 over Shenandoah's Daiveon Barlow in the third-place match.

Leviathan Haynes came in sixth place in the 184-weight class. He tallied four wins on the day. Ariel Huseni (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg HS) came in seventh place in the 157-weight class. He had four victories with two coming by decision and one by fall. Adrian Fox (Forest City, N.C./Chase HS) also had a seventh-place finish as he competed at the 133-weight class. All of his wins came by decision including his seventh-place clinching win over W&L's Trey Custodio.

Randolph's next competition will be December 6 at the Ohio Northern Invitational.
