LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph men's swimming team went up to Lexington, Va. for the annual ODAC Relays hosted by Washington and Lee University. The meet invites all ODAC schools and teams compete in only relay events. The team finished sixth overall with 65.5 points.
In the 100 Yard Relay, the A team,
Solomon Lewis,
Josh Vogl,
Marshall Howard, and
Channing Scott, tied for 13th place with a 44.38. The B team,
Aiden Tuck,
Will Perrow, Mason Willimas, and
Conner Fulcher, placed 18th in a time of 51.73.
Evan Shopbell,
Milo Fagan, and
Ben Hiss made the A team for the 3x50 Yard Fly Relay with a time of 1:17.35. The B team, Lewis, Scott, and Tuck.
The A team of
Brennan Rothchild, Howard, and Shopbell placed seventh in the 3x50 Yard Back Relay in 1:16.97. The B team, Tuck, Perrow, and Williams came in at 17th in 1:43.78. In the 3x50 Yard Breast Relay, Rothchild, Fagan, and Scott claimed 12th place in 1:31.02.
The 400 Yard Free had Howard, Vogl, and Shopbell, Fagan swimming into 14th place in 3:30.48. Rothchild, Hiss, and Shopbell got a sixth place finish in the 3x100 Yard IM with a time of 2:51.48.
The 500 Yard Relay squad finished in ninth, Vogl, Howard, Rothchild, and Fagan, with a time of 4:34.82. Two squads swam the 200 Yard Medley Relay, the A squad of Rothchild, Hiss, Scott, and Vogl came in 11th in 1:43.76 and the B squad of Tuck, Perro, Lewis, and Fulcher came in at 18th in 2:05.27.
Hiss, Fagan, Scott, and Tuck held 13th place in the 100 Yard Relay underwater fly kick, in which each swimmer does a butterfly kick underwater. The team finished in 55.04 seconds. The 200 Yard Free Relay A team finished 12th in 1:35.34 consisting of Hiss, Shopbell, Vogl, and Lewis. The B team finished 16th in 1:53.66 consisting of Howard, Perrow, Fulcher, and Williams.
The team returns home for their home opener on Saturday at 1 p.m. They face William Peace and Gallaudet.
