LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Randolph women's swimming team is ready to dive into the 2025-26 season with a mix of veteran leadership and new faces. The WildCats enter the year looking to make their mark in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
Co-Head coaches
Lee Lewis and
Greg Hofmann return at the helm as the program has continued to build depth and competitiveness.Â
For the women's team, Randolph brings back a core of experienced seven returners, such as
Katelyn Spuchesi, who holds multiple school records. Last season, at the ODAC Championships, she swam a season best and broke the school record in the 400 Yard IM in a time of 4:53.59 to place 12th in the event.
Kaitlyn Heckman was a finalist at ODACs in the 200 Back with a personal best of 2:20.86 in the finals for 16th-place.
Taylor Eshelman swam several personal bests along with being part of the record breaking squad of the 800 Free Relay along with Spuchesi and Heckman. The team brings in four new swimmers to add to their depth.
Randolph will compete in a full slate of dual meets, invitationals, and conference match ups throughout the season, building towards the ODAC Championships in February.Â
The 'Cats begin their season on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the annual ODAC Relays hosted by Washington and Lee University. The teams' home opener is Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
