Men’s Wrestling Falls in Road Conference Dual at Greensboro

Justin Porter scored Randolph's first points at 125

GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph men's wrestling team traveled to Greensboro on Thursday for a late week ODAC match against the Pride. GC defeated the WildCats by the score of 35-22.

Randolph started off strong as Justin Porter (Lynchburg, Va.) won at the 125-weight class as he took down Christopher Watson in 3:44. Greensboro evened the match when Zak Gurban (Dumfries, Va.) lost to Ivan Benitez by fall. GC went ahead in the 141- weight class as Adon Overstreet (Lynchburg, Va./Heritage HS) lost to Josh Wilson.

The WildCat scored points with a pair of forfeits. Theodore Piluso (Troutville, Va./Lord Botetourt) had a major decision victory over Ethan Kring to score four points for Randolph. Greensboro finished out the match with victories at the 174, 184, 197, and 285 weight classes.

Randolph's next dual match is February 6 at Shenandoah.
