LYNCHBURG, Va. - Randolph men's swimming team secured a dominant 105-82 victory over William Peace in their home meet, showcasing impressive performances across the board.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the team posted a time of 1:42. 97 to top the Pacers in the event. In the 1650-yard free, it was all Randolph with
Will Perrow claiming first in 21:38.41, Mason Willimas (24:53.94) for second, and
Conner Fulcher in 20:09.09 for third. The 200-yard free saw
Milo Fagan finish first overall with a time of 1:51.79 and
Solomon Lewis in third with 2:09.32.
Ian Russell was the lone WildCat in the 50-yard free, swimming a time of 23.23.
Evan Shopbell and
Aiden Tuck took first and third with Shopbell swimming 4:29.01 and Tuck going 5:16.72 in the 400-yard IM.
Ben Hiss was third with a time of 56.35 and Fulcher finished fourth with a time of 1:24.82 in the 100-yard fly. Fagan was the runner-up in the 100-yard free (51.38) and Russell swam a time of 53.08 for a fourth-place finish.
Tuck swam into third in the 100-yard back with a time of 1:07.12 and in fourth was Williams with a time of 1:24.04. Shopbell was crowned the winner in the 500-yard free for a time of 5:23.56 and Lewis (6:04. 47) and Williams (7:23.20) rounded out the field in fourth and fifth.
In the 100-yard breast, Hiss took first place, swimming a time of 1:02.65, and Perrow clocked a 1:21.37 to finish fourth. For the last event of the day, Randolph swam a lone race in the 200-yard free relay and swam a time of 2:00.28.
The WildCats are back in action on Saturday when they host Randolph-Macon for a dual meet at noon.
