Randolph College head coach Paul Biggs announced that Kyle Polzin has been named assistant coach heading into the WildCats' inaugural season that is scheduled to start this fall.

Polzin was an assistant coach at Morehead High School in Eden, North Carolina, for the past four seasons. During his tenure at Morehead High School, the Panthers had 17 wrestlers qualify for the North Carolina State Championships. Six of the 17 were place winners in the state tournament, including three state champions. Morehead High School won the NCHSAA 2A Mideast title in 2023 and finished runner-up in 2024. They also placed fourth in the 2023 NCHSAA 2A State Tournament. Polzin was on the coaching staff for Caveman Wrestling Club and Panther Wrestling Club (K-12).

Polzin is a 2017 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) where he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Speech-language Pathology. Following his graduation from UNCG, Polzin spent the last five years as a speech-language pathologist in the Rockingham County School District.
