HARRISONBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's lacrosse team traveled to Eastern Mennonite to face the Royals on Monday afternoon. After a delay to the start of the game due to lightning in the area, the two teams finally got started after nearly an hour and a half. The Royals came out on top as they would defeat the WildCats 14-3.

Randolph trailed 2-0 early in the first quarter. The WildCats would get on the board with 8:06 remaining as Marcela Izquierdo-Poza (Madrid, Spain/IES Julio Verne) assisted Mackenzie Woodson (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate) on the goal to make it 2-1. EMU added three more scores to go up 5-1 with just over a minute remaining in the opening quarter. The WildCats would break up the Royals' scoring run as Emile Taduran (Alexandria, Va./Mount Vernon) scored off an assist by Woodson.

It was all Eastern Mennonite after that as the Royals scored seven straight times to lead 12-2 with 26 seconds remaining in the third period. Woodson scored her second goal of the game with 5:30 left in the fourth quarter.
