Box Score STAUNTON, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team played Mary Baldwin in a non-conference match on Friday afternoon. The WildCats won 9-0.
Randolph evens its record at 7-7. Mary Baldwin drops to 1-11.
In the doubles portion of the match, Lena Kersten (Bonn, Germany/Otto Kuhne Schule) and Sabrina Dickerson (Brookneal, Va.) dropped just one game as they won 8-1 over Hannah Eastridge and Kelsey Bantel. Noura Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington HS) and Gianna Cabrera (Portsmouth, Va.) edged out the pair of Lauren Byrnes and Gabrielle Wyatt 8-6.
Kersten won easily over Eastridge 6-0, 6-0 at first singles. Elkhansa also was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at third singles. Dickerson defeated Kelsey Bantel 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Molly McNair (New South Wales, Australia/Figtree) won by the same score at fifth singles. Maddie Mills (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) defeated Wyatt at fourth singles 6-2, 6-0.
Randolph is back on the court tomorrow afternoon as they face Sweet Briar in an ODAC match. Start time is at 12:00 p.m.
